Modbury Carpentry – Modbury Plaza

Modbury Carpentry – The Pickled Duck

Oliver’s Carpentry team recently undertook the construction of a new bistro next to the Modbury plaza  (The Pickeld Duck). It consists of an indoor / outdoor bistro with full kitchen and a thirsty camel drive through / bottle shop. On this project, Oliver’s Carpentry were responsible for the timber wall framing and partition walls, installation of doors and door hardware, installation of all timber cladding and the eye catching cypress pine batten ceiling. As seen in the images below, there is a significant quantity of timber work in this project and the end result is simply stunning. This project is one of our most significant ones to date, It has allowed us to demonstrate our ability to work to a tight time-frame and still deliver an exceptional quality end result.

The Project was coordinated by Paul Thompson and Troy Hancox from Cook Building and Development and from a contractors point of view, could not have gone any better. The communication and coordination of trades and suppliers was faultless and with such a tight deadline, delivering a job like this is a serious challenge which they brought together without a hitch.

The architect responsible for this project were Folland Panozzo Architects, They took timber linings to a new level on this job! However with the different textures, spacings and colours breaks everything up just enough to make it look amazing! Together with the stunning lighting and some impressive tiled feature walls, this venue is all set to impress for years to come.

    Hi Oliver,
I would just like to personally thank yourself & your highly skilled/motivated team on a quality build, as you also mentioned a immensely tight time frame!
4 months from site mobilisation to open for business!!

Looking forward to working with you & your team again very soon.

I am sure that Paul Thompson (Project Manager) would mirror my thoughts/comments as well.
congratulations to you on behalf of Cook Building & Developments.

    Kind Regards,
    Troy Hancox.
